The Russian driver will take part on his second single-seaters season with GRS Team after a successful 2021. Ryabov will race in Formula 4 Spanish Championship and Formula 4 UAE.
This announcement marks the continuity of a successful sporting relationship that began in 2021. Ryabov was the only driver who did the full F4 Spanish season with GRS Team. The young Russian driver was then stepping up from karting, and his progression throughout the year was formidable.
Ryabov ended the season with three podiums, a fastest lap and eighth place in the final drivers’ standings. He also finished sixth on the Rookies’ Championship. The potential and pace shown at every track prove that a second year working hand in hand will be beneficial to both parts involved.
The second generation of Formula 4 cars will be introduced in 2022. The driver will therefore face the challenge of adapting to a new car, the Tatuus T-021, in a familiar work environment. Racing in F4 UAE will also help Ryabov and the team to earn more hours of work on the new car, helping to start the season in Spain fully prepared.
“I am proud to announce that I will race for GRS Team in the 2022 season. I am super excited about this, the team is really incredible, they have been doing an awesome job and the car is always on top. This season has been splendid. We had several podiums. We started as complete beginners and finished being fast and able to fight for podiums and wins. I am super delighted and looking forward to starting the season as soon as possible”.
Vladislav Ryabov, driver #26
“It is a pleasure for the team to have Vladislav with us again. He surprised us since he arrived at the team, and I believe we can do really well on this second year together. He proved to be a very fast driver, and the working dynamics with him have always been excellent, so we believe we can fight at the top in 2022”.
Josep Trinidad, CEO & Team Principal
“This is the next step, a logical one given the progression, starting as beginners, and becoming a very fast driver at the end, with several podiums during the season. We are looking forward to improving more on these two championships and I wish to Vladislav great luck on the racetracks and in the future, which I am sure that will be bright”.
Alexey Karachev, driver coach and manager #26
