Podium finish after a tough season opener in Navarra

After months of waiting and delay, the Spanish Formula 4 season has finally kicked-off. After several testing sessions, the Navarra Circuit has been the venue where we have hit the track to start competing again.

The weekend started in the best possible way: Lorenzo Fluxá claimed second position on the grid for Race 1 and third place for the second one. The Spaniard rookie driver missed the podium by just one position and scored his first points on the series by finishing fourth.

It was a race with highs and lows for our drivers. Suleiman Zanfari, Álex García and Eloy López struggled due to early issues and penalties and found themselves unable to gain positions. Despite the adversity, all three drivers finished the race and gained the required experience to improve over the season.

Sunday went by just like the previous day had gone. In race 2, Fluxá finished on the podium after being third. Just like it happened last year, GRS stepped into the Formula 4 podium in Navarra. Fluxá obtained more points in the last race after finishing sixth, while both López and Zanfari shown progress and were close to score points.

We leave Navarra with mixed feelings, positive results and work to do. The experience gained will undoubtedly allow us and our drivers to keep improving and reach the top positions.

Next stop in Spanish F4 will be in Paul Ricard the 22nd and 23rd of August. There, at the only meeting in which we will race out of Spain, we will keep fighting and giving our best to obtain good results and keep growing as a team.
