Nikola Tsolov will race in EuroCup-3 with GRS Team

The ‘Bulgarian Lion’, member of the Alpine Academy, is back in GRS, with whom he achieved two podiums last season. He will take part in five EuroCup-3 rounds this season.

It is a pleasure for GRS Team to welcome back Nikola Tsolov into the team. The Bulgarian driver will compete in the 2024 EuroCup-3 season, which will kick off this weekend at Spa-Francorchamps Circuit, in Belgium. Tsolov, an A14 Management driver and an Alpine Academy member, race with GRS in an Alpine liveried car.

At 17 years of age, Tsolov is one of the most promising young talents of the last few years. After a sensational karting career, the driver from Sofia won the Formula 4 Spanish Championship on his year of debut in single seater racing, having an absolutely dominant season. In 2023, he stepped up to Formula 3, competing against some of the best drivers in the World. He also took part in two EuroCup-3 rounds with GRS. With us, Tsolov took two Pole positions and two podiums in a memorable weekend in Jerez. He finished the championship in 10th place of the Drivers’ Championship despite only attending two race meetings.

In 2024, the Bulgarian Lion is facing his second Formula 3 season. Tsolov will combine this racing programme with EuroCup-3. He will therefore be racing in five out of the eight rounds of the season. He is set to miss the race weekends in Red Bull Ring, Paul Ricard, and Aragón due to his F3 commitments.

Tsolov’s talent and the success he achieved on track over the last years caught the attention of the F1 paddock. He is currently part of A14 Mangement, Fernando Alonso’s driver management agency, and he is one of the Alpine Academy members. The car the Bulgarian will race in EuroCup-3 will have the Alpine colours on its livery.

“I am very excited to start this new challenge with GRS. It’s a team I already know, so I’m confident to work with them this season! It’s also great to have the first round of the season in Spa as it’s my favourite track, so we can have a good start to the championship!”.

Nikola Tsolov, driver

“We welcome back Nikola into the team with excitement and high hopes. He came into the series last year, without having tested the car, and performed excellently, so we’ve already seen that he’s capable of being at the top. Having them is an additional boost for the team’s morale, so we will give our best from him to prove his talent on track. Thanks to Nikola, A14 Management, and Alpine for their trust in GRS Team”.

Josep Trinidad, CEO & Team Manager
