Lukáš Málek to miss the upcoming F4 Spanish round in Valencia

Slovak driver Lukáš Málek will not take part on this weekend’s Formula 4 Spanish Championship meeting, which is to take place at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, in Valencia. The decision was made due to sponsorship issues caused by the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. These problems forced Málek to sit the upcoming race out.

GRS Team wishes that Lukáš’ situation can be sorted out as soon as possible so he can keep developing his career alongside GRS Team. We expect to continue working with him, and we sincerely hope his racing programme is as least affected as possible by these external complications. We wish him to be back on track for the fourth round of the season in Spa-Francorchamps.

Málek joined GRS Team at the end of 2021. The Slovak raced on the final round of the 2021 Formula 4 Spanish Championship season. He then took part on an extensive off-season testing programme and participated on the opening round of F4 Spanish this year, which took place at Autodromo Internacional do Algarve.

The team will not replace Lukáš on the upcoming F4 Spanish Championship round, which takes place this weekend at Circuit Ricardo Tormo. The team’s efforts will therefore be focused on Vladislav Ryabov and Ricardo Gracia.
