Lia Block, back with GRS Team for F4 Spain participation

Williams Driver Academy member, currently racing in F1 Academy, is set to race in the next two Formula 4 Spanish Championship rounds after a successful Formula Winter Series participation with GRS Team.

GRS Team is delighted to welcome back Lia Block into the team. The young American driver will take part in two Formula 4 Spanish Championship meetings. She will be racing with us at Autodromo Internacional do Algarve in June 7-9, and in Paul Ricard Circuit in July 5-7.

Earlier this year, Block made her single seater racing debut with GRS Team. She raced in three Formula Winter Series rounds after an extensive testing programme with the team. There, she raced against some of the most competitive Formula 4 drivers in the world, showing progression and improvement on her pace as she gained experience. Before the start of her Formula racing career, she achieved success in rallying, winning the 2023 American Rally Association O2WD National Championship title, among other accolades.

This debut helped her to be prepared for the F1 Academy season, her main racing programme in 2024. There, she is racing as a member of the Williams Driver Academy member, where she has already scored her first championship point in only her third race. This participation in F4 Spanish Championship will undoubtedly help her to keep improving her pace as she gains more experience and mileage.

“I’m excited to be driving with the GRS Team again, this time for two races in the Formula 4 Spanish Championship! I want to get as much seat time as possible in F4 this year, and being able to race in such a competitive series is the perfect place to get more experience”.

Lia Block, driver #57

“It is great news to have Lia Block racing with GRS Team again. Her performance and growth as a driver during Formula Winter Series were outstanding, and her efforts, attitude and determination are admirable for such a young driver. We are thrilled to keep being part of her career and the whole team will give its best so she can race in the best possible conditions. We can’t wait for her to be back in the GRS car”.

Lia’s first F4 Spanish Championship participation will take place this weekend at Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portugal. The team is looking to bounce back after a challenging start to the season in Jarama.
