GRS Team will take part on the fifth and final round of Formula Regional Middle East Championship, which takes place this weekend at Yas Marina Circuit, in Abu Dhabi. The team is joining forces for this event with R&B Racing, who has been present in the entire season. Nikola Tsolov will be the driver racing in this meeting, where we will race under the R&B Racing by GRS Team banner.
GRS will provide the car and the technical staff for this new entry. The team has previous racing experience with the Tatuus T-318 car used on the championship. In 2019, GRS Team raced in Formula Renault Eurocup. The team is also preparing its participation in brand new Eurocup-3 Championship, a new intermediate step between Formula 4 and FIA Formula 3.
R&B Racing, team from China, has wide experience across multiple single seaters and GT racing series. The collaboration between the two teams is established with the objective of finishing the Formula Regional Middle East with the best possible results and feeling.
Nikola Tsolov will race for R&B Racing by GRS. The ‘Bulgarian Lion’ is the reigning Formula 4 Spanish champion. At 16 years, the young talent has a successful career record in both karting and single seater racing. The Bulgarian driver, member of the Academy Alpine, is currently preparing his participation in FIA Formula 3.
Located in Abu Dhabi, Yas Marina Circuit is one of the most complete, recognisable tracks in the world. It is the current host of F1’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, besides numerous junior formulae series. GRS has previous experience at the track as it raced there in Formula 4 UAE in 2022. All three races can be watched at Formula Regional Middle East Championship official YouTube channel.
