This weekend, GRS Team was present at the final round of Formula Winter Series, held at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The team took part with Amna Al Qubaisi. Despite the results not being ideal, GRS earned valuable experience and mileage ahead of the upcoming season, which is around the corner.
Free practice sessions took place on Friday and Saturday. Pace and progression were consistent. The competition, however, proved to be fierce, and all participants had to battle hard for every tenth.
Sunday began with the two qualifying sessions. On Race 1, Al Qubaisi was involved in a fight on track to gain positions when an incident with a rival happened. The Emirati driver was forced to retire.
On the second and final race, Al Qubaisi started from ninth on the grid. The GRS driver defended her positions until the end and crossed the finish line in ninth position, bringing her and the team’s participation in Formula Winter Series to an end by scoring points.
Once the Formula Winter Series is concluded, it is time to keep working on preparations and testing for Formula 4 Spanish Championship and Eurocup-3. In GRS, we keep working day after day to get there in the best possible conditions and with chances to fight.
