The Belgian youngster joins the team for a double-duty racing programme which includes his participation in Formula 4 Spanish Championship and Formula Winter Series.
GRS Team is delighted to announce its first Formula 4 driver for the upcoming 2024 season. Belgian driver Douwe Dedecker, aged 16, joins the team for an intensive racing programme as he will take part in Formula Winter Series, held throughout February and March in Spain, and in Formula 4 Spanish Championship, the reference entry level F4 series where GRS Team races since 2018.
Dedecker comes into GRS after his single seater racing debut in 2023. The young talent raced in British Formula 4, where he displayed remarkable progression throughout the year and achieved one podium finish. Earlier into his career, Dedecker was successful across multiple high-level international karting series. Among his achievements, he finished third in the German Championship in 2021, and third as well in WSK Euro Series in 2019.
The Belgian driver has already taken part in several tests with GRS Team during the last few months. There, Dedecker had competitive pace and shown great adaptability to the team and to tracks where he had never been before. The current goal is, therefore, to keep working to get to the start of the season as prepared as possible, determined to fight at the top.

Formula Winter Series 2024 season will kick off in February 9-11 at Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto. Winter Series will serve as preparation for the F4 Spanish Championship season, which is set to begin in May 11-12 at Circuito de Navarra. During the next weeks, GRS will announce more drivers ahead of the upcoming racing season.
