Consistent progression with no fortune for GRS Team in Navarra

Formula 4 Spanish Championship sixth round took place this weekend at Navarra Circuit. GRS Team returned to the tracks in a weekend where the pace and results were not ideal. The team, however, leaves satisfied with the drivers’ progression and improvement throughout the weekend, especially in the team’s first round with a four-driver line-up.

Just like they did in MotorLand Aragón, Vladislav Ryabov and Daniel Mavlyutov defended the team’s colours in Navarra. As for Marcos Flack and Ricardo Gracia, they both returned after missing the previous meeting.

Free Practice sessions proved that this would be a tough weekend, where the team would have to battle hard to get into the midfield. A qualifying session to forget placed our drivers at the back of the grid.

The situation improved on the race. Marcos, Ricardo and Daniel gained positions throughout the race, getting involved in duels with other drivers and reaching the Top 20. Vladislav, on the other hand, was forced to retire after an incident with a rival.

Sunday went underway with the second Qualifying Session, where a slight improvement was found. Race 2 developed in a similar way than the first one, with great comebacks and a P20 for Vladislav as our best result.

On the final race, our drivers shone again and made their way up the order. Vladislav finished 15th after starting 20th, Ricardo saw the chequered flag in 17th from 27th on the grid, and Daniel was 19th, his best result on the series, starting from 29th. Unfortunately, Marcos was involved in an incident and retired.

Results were not ideal as they do not reflect the progression achieved during the weekend. The team is satisfied with the performance and work of all our drivers and staff member. Now, it is time to keep working to wrap-up the season with a good finale.

On behalf of GRS Team, congratulations to Nikola Tsolov and Campos Racing for clinching the Drivers’ Championship and having an outstanding year. Way to go, friends!

Formula 4 Spanish Championship will return in November 12-13. Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit will be, as usual, the host of the final round of the season.
