GRS Team is thrilled to announce Carl Bennett, who joins the team to take part in 2023 Formula 4 Spanish Championship season. The team confirms the first member of its drivers’ line-up ahead of the upcoming season. We are ready to race again and to face the season with the goal of having the best performance.
Bennett, aged 18, will be doing his second season in single-seater racing, and the first full year in a European series. The young Thai American talent made his formula racing debut in 2022, in the United States. There, he raced in Formula 4 US Championship, where he consistently gained experienced and made progression as a driver. He also took part in YACademy Winter Series.
At the end of 2022, Bennett had his first racing experience in Europe. He took part in the season finale of both GB4 and Formula 4 Spanish Championship, held in November at Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit. This means he already knows the championship he will be taking part in this year. Recently, Bennett started his pre-season testing programme with GRS, and the first feeling was positive.
“Self-improvement and growth as a driver will be my main goals for the upcoming season. I am ready to maximize every race. I am looking forward to seeing how this season compares to my debut year in car racing. Excited to race with GRS Team in the 2023 Formula 4 Spanish Championship season”.
